This event has taken place on the first Saturday of June each year.  However, this year, it occurred on May 26, the last Saturday of May and was an individual project for ARES members.  The purpose is for the ham station for the National Hurricane Center (WX4NHC) located on the campus of Florida International University in Miami, to test all their equipment for all the means of communication used.  This is an annual ARES event.
