The North Florida Section designates the first week of October for an exercise in each County.  The  type and size of each radio communication exercise varies from each county and from year to year.

For 20018 in Sumter County, the exercise will be a Fox Hunt using hand held radios to find the hidden transmitter.  The application for this exercise is a Alzheimer's patient that has a radio tractor imbedded in his or her shoe or wristwatch.  The first section will be to let each person hear and find the tractor.  The second section will be for everyone to attempt to find the tractor as individuals or as teams.
